Almost every article on "HR trends for 2018" will mention AI in HR. The digitalization of HR, sometimes known as "Digital HR," is another topic that you'll almost certainly see on these trend lists. However, aside from being a trendy, modern term, what does it actually mean?

More and more often, academic discourse uses phrases like "digital human resource management," "digital revolution of human resource management," and "digital distraction of human resource management.”. Despite this, these concepts are frequently used in a multiplicative, varied, and implicit way. As a result, The "conceptual clarity" needed for study is absent from these ideas.

The phrases "digital disruption," "digital transformation," and "digitalization" are among the most popular and frequently used at the moment. These themes, broadly speaking, signify a growth in the usage of technology as well as significant alterations in related fields of business and society. That digital HRM is more than just "new labels for old phenomena" must be ensured. Otherwise, novel ideas simply take the place of more well-known ones, such as the well-known concept of electronic (e-) HRM.
