Abstract

This review looks at the complicated link between climate change and global food security. It talks about the problems that climate change may cause and looks at possible ways to lessen its negative impacts. Climate change makes it harder for people all across the globe to have enough food. It lowers agricultural production, makes food shortages worse, and makes hunger worse. Changes in temperature and rainfall patterns, together with more frequent severe weather events, put crops, animals, and food delivery networks at risk, especially in areas that are already weak. The report points out some of the biggest problems that climate change poses to global food security, such as lower agricultural output, more unstable food prices, and a higher chance of food poverty and malnutrition.

It emphasizes how climate change affects disadvantaged communities, smallholder farmers, and low-income people more than others. These groups are the most affected by environmental damage and don't have the means to adapt. The assessment looks at a number of options and methods that may help make food security more resilient in a changing environment in response to these problems. It talks on how climate-smart farming methods like agroforestry, crop diversification, and soil conservation may make agricultural systems more resilient and use resources more efficiently.

The assessment also emphasizes the need of improving access to climate information, building infrastructure that lasts, and supporting gender equality in agriculture to create food systems that are open to everyone and can change with the times. The assessment also emphasizes how important policy changes, working together with other countries, and getting people involved in their communities are for solving climate-related food security problems and reaching sustainable development objectives. We can make food systems that are more resilient and fair by including climate adaptation and mitigation measures in agricultural policies, encouraging research and innovation, and encouraging partnerships between many stakeholders. These systems will be able to handle the effects of climate change and make sure that everyone has enough food. In conclusion, the assessment stresses how important it is to work together to deal with the complicated relationship between climate change and food security throughout the world.
