Abstract

The most significant sector in every economy is agriculture. Similarly, India depends heavily on agriculture. In India, agriculture provides a roof on top for the vast majority of the population, thus it can never be overlooked. Well over half of the nation's population works in this economic sector. We may even say that the Indian economy is based primarily on agriculture. Our survival ability rests entirely on it. Indian farmers and Indian agriculture therefore are both crucial in every way. Indian agriculture has grown significantly in the past 75 years. After Independence, there has been significant growth in the cultivation of fruits, vegetables, sugarcane, and natural fibers. The Indian government and citizens take numerous measures to support farmers and the sector's expansion. As a result, agriculture is now a growing industry that embraces the newest trends.

The sector is expanding primarily as a consequence of emerging agricultural trends. New technologies and innovative approaches are emerging trends in agriculture that get better as time goes by. The agriculture industry has seen lots of emerging trends in the last few decades, and tech advances have also evolved in this sector. The sector is growing as a result of all these factors. Modern advancements in agriculture have improved the suitability and comfort of agricultural activities for farmers. Both the progress of agriculture and the welfare of farmers are aided by these shifts or trends. Knowing that the future of Indian agriculture is an important subject for policymakers across the country, his paper tries to thoroughly assess the current trends and the country's agricultural future.
