Abstract
Increasing employee commitment to the company is one of the key components of making sure the organization is successful. This is due to the fact that dedicated workers might result in positive organizational results. Data on organizational commitment in the education industry is scarce, according to the literature assessment. Thus, the purpose of this research is to investigate how organizational commitment is affected by three elements in the setting of Malaysian higher education: employee empowerment, collaboration, and employee training. An online survey was used to gather data from 242 staff members at public institutions in northern Malaysia in order to meet the stated goal. SPSS and structural equation modeling were used to analyze the gathered data (SEM). The results showed that organizational commitment is significantly improved by employee empowerment. Additionally, it was shown that cooperation had a favorable and statistically significant impact on organizational commitment. Lastly, the results demonstrated that organizational commitment is significantly enhanced by staff training. It is anticipated that these results would provide helpful recommendations to management in the higher education sector on how to increase organizational commitment among their staff by emphasizing cooperation, training, and employee empowerment.
