Abstract

This study aims to ascertain the influence of the work environment, leadership style, and organizational culture on job satisfaction and its subsequent impact on employee performance. The whole 642 staff of Parador Hotels & Resorts in Indonesia were the subjects of the study. Using Slovin's method, we figured out how many samples we needed. For Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), we needed 200 personnel. A total of 179 questionnaires were returned and sent for processing. The sampling procedure used proportionate stratified sampling, whereas the sample items were identified by incidental sampling methodology. This research used descriptive statistics and SEM–Partial Least Squares, using IBM Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (IBM SPSS) Statistics 22.0 software and WarpPLS 3.0 program. The findings indicate that work environment, leadership style, and organizational culture positively and significantly influence job satisfaction; however, only leadership style positively and significantly affects employee performance. Job satisfaction does not have a substantial beneficial influence on employee performance, nor does it serve as a mediating variable. The results show that leaders in the hotel sector, in this instance the general manager (gm), have an important influence. A high-quality gm is necessary for job satisfaction and a positive workplace culture.
