Abstract
This research examines the influence of globalization on the curriculum content and topics of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (elementary Islamic schools) in Indonesia, emphasizing the associated problems and possibilities. As global influences change educational institutions, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah must find a way to balance traditional Islamic education with the needs of the contemporary world, such as the need to include global knowledge and skills. The study investigates modifications to the curriculum, including the integration of disciplines such as technology, languages, and global citizenship, while preserving religious and cultural values. The findings indicate that globalization presents chances to improve the relevance and competitiveness of the curriculum, while simultaneously presenting obstacles in maintaining cultural identity and guaranteeing educational justice. The report offers suggestions for incorporating global viewpoints while maintaining the integrity of Islamic teachings.
