Abstract

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal illness that affects women. It causes problems with hormones, insulin resistance, and reproduction. Synthetic drug may change symptoms, but they typically have adverse effects that last for a long time. Herbal medication, on the other hand, is a safer option since it normalizes hormones, makes insulin more sensitive, lowers inflammation, and increases fertility. This study emphasizes the therapeutic potential of polyherbal formulations that include components such as flaxseed, fennel, fenugreek, cinnamon, Ashwagandha, Shatavari, licorice, aloe vera, spearmint, turmeric, and Tulsi. Evidence from traditional practices, preclinical studies, and clinical trials indicates the promising potential of herbal remedies in the management of PCOS. Additionally, further research is essential for standardizing these formulations, confirming their efficacy, and integrating herbal medicines into evidence-based medical treatment for women with PCOS.
